Who would have thought that two tarot loving dames with a combined half century of flipping cards, sipping tea and decoding life's mysteries would end up co-hosting a podcast? Not us. Yet, here we are! Trenna and I - laughing our way through The Tarot Dealers podcast, where tarot talk is the main course and the odd shenanigan is always on the side.
We didn't start this podcast with grand plans of building a tarot empire or becoming the next big voices in metaphysical media. Nope. We started it simply because we love talking tarot. If you have ever seen two people light up like crystals under moonlight, that's us when we pull a card and dive into its depths. Between us, we have over 50 years of tarot experience, education and more than a few ""you're mot going to believe what just happened ", "I seriously cannot make this shit up" stories. Honestly, it's a miracle we didn't start this sooner.
Tarot Then & Now: Our Favourite Evolution
Tarot has come a long way from the dg-eared Rider Wait Smith deck we both began with (and still reach for lovingly, like an old friend who always tells it like it is). These days, we are spoiled with gorgeously illustrated modern decks that reflect today's world and its beautiful diversity. We love comparing the subtle shifts in meaning from deck to deck. A queen of Swords in one deck might feel like a courtroom judge, in another she's your no nonsense best friend with a perfect bob and killer advice.
We have even interviewed our decks. Yes, really, that happened! (You try asking your cards what they think of you sometime - it's both humbling and hilarious). The insights we got were so eerily accurate, we decided we better keep the mic running. Turns out our decks have opinions. Loud ones.
From "Let's Just Do it" to One season and 100 Episodes Later
In our first series, we hit 100 episodes. that's a whole lot of tarot talk - free, fabulous, and totally unscripted. We have shared monthly energy forecasts, dove deep into the archetypes, broke down spreads and chatted about everything from shadow work to synchronicity and we didn't just stop there.
We opened our virtual doors to a wand maker, a couple of mediums, a women's circle facilitator and a kinesiologist and every single one of them were using cards in some shape or form. Turns out, tarot isn't just a tool; it's a gateway. Every one of our guests reminded us just how many unique paths there are into the spiritual world.
Real, Raw & Occasionally Ridiculous
When we say unscripted, we mean it. What you hear is what you get. Two friends geeking out about tarot, laughing mid reading, debating over deck symbolism and sometimes forgetting what day it is. We fumble, we ramble, we go deep, and we let it all unfold naturally. And the best part? Our listeners love us for it. Turns out authenticity never goes out of style.
If you are someone who's ever thought, "Should I start that thing I keep thinking about?" We are here to say do it!!!! Follow the threads of what you love. You truly never know where they'll lead. For us, it led t a podcast, a whole lot of joy, and a wonderful tarot community we're proud to be part of.
So, What's Next?
We are taking a short break to get ready for another season. We will be coming back with more episodes, more insights, and more tarot tangents . We're are cooking up new ideas all the time. In the meantime, if you are craving tarot talk with heart, humour and a dash of chaos, you'll feel right at home with the Tarot Dealers.
Come join us - pull a card, press play and get comfy. We are just two old ducks & their tarot cards, and we are just getting started.
