The Mirrored Magic, Synchronicities and the Spirit of the Hermit

Ahhh, the universe. That cheeky, clever, synchronistic show off!!
It never ceases to amaze me how the universe will throw me little cosmic breadcrumbs, often when I least expect it, and I, am ever the grateful mystic. I follow those crumbs like a kid on an enchanted Easter egg hunt. This latest one though... Oh, this one sparkled!! I seriously cannot make this shit up!!! This one involved numbers, mirroring, and my two wonderfully weird, intuitively gifted daughters. Buckle up, friends, this is a good one!!
Let's start with a bit of Tarot talk, shall we?
The Hermit. Major Arcana number nine. The lantern-bearer. The wise wanderer. The archetypal introvert who climbs to the top of the metaphorical mountain to gain clarity, then shines that light for others. He's the spiritual seeker, the truth digger, the one who isn't afraid of a little solitude because he knows that's where the real downloads happen. He doesn't ghost you - he glows up alone!!
What's the ninth card in the Minor Arcana? Well, that depends on the suit that shows up doesn't it.
9 of Cups: Emotional wish fulfillment. "My soul is fed" energy
9 of Pentacles: Abundance, success, self sufficiency, owning your worth, and maybe a vineyard!!
9 of Wands: The still standing wounded warrior, battle weary and a little scared, sure, but never broken.
9 of Swords: The one where your thoughts keep you up at 3 am. The nightmares and anxiety's favourite tarot card (we have all been there!)
All these cards share one common thread: a turning point. A space just before completion where the big stuff gets sorted. Where truth is clarified. Where wisdom forms. The Hermit encapsulates all of that, wrapped in a hooded cloak of soul searching.
Now, let me introduce you to two of my favourite Hermits: My daughters.
Yes, they entertain me endlessly as i rattle on about synchronicity, soul contracts and Mercury's questionable retrograde behaviour. The truth is, they are just as attuned. Each in her own unique, psychic-mediumship-meets -people-reader way. One sees, one feels. One listens for signs in nature, the other catches whispers in the quiet. They are Hermits with headlamps and I adore them for it.
Now, here's where the universe decides to play hopscotch with my heart.
One daughter lives in a sweet little community with her husband, surrounded by trees and tranquillity. The number of their home is 54.
Meanwhile, my other daughter and her partner have been on the hunt for a new home, a new adventure, a new playground, a place that feels like an intuitive "yes".
She finds one. And it just so happens to be directly across the road, like I mean actuallly across the road from her sister. But wait, it gets better...
The number of her soon to be home? ......45
I'll give you a moment to let that settle in. 54. 45.
Mirroring!!!!
I seriously cannot make this shit up!
I mean, really! If the universe was wearing a trench coat and sunglasses, it would still be blushing at how obvious it made this one!
Coincidence? Oh no no no. This is consequence. Conscious sequence. The magic that happens when soul paths converge at the exact right time, in the exact right postcode.
Both my girls, these Hermit-hearted Healers, have landed across from each other, as if the cosmos reach down and whispered, "Hey, I see your light. Here's a mirror" And there it is, in the form of street numbers. Proof that the great Divine has a sense of humour and a taste for symmetry.
So here's my esoteric takeaway for you dear reader:
Synchronicities are spirit's way of winking. Mirroring is a message. When you see the number 9, whether in the Hermit's lantern, a Tarot spread, or a house number flipped in reverse, it's often a sign that you are on the cusp of a soulful shift. A call to pause. To reflect. To go within and trust the path unfolding before yu, even if it doesn't always come with a GPS.
If like my daughters, you ever find yourself craving connection but needing solitude, remember: Hermits still live in neighbourhoods. Wisdom doesn't mean isolation. It means knowing when to step away and when to open your door to someone who sees the world the way you do, even if they live at 45 while you're at 54.

P.S. If you are craving a little Hermit time yourself, grab a card, light a candle, take a few deep breaths and meditate on the number 9. The answers are there - within - waiting in the stillness.
